R14.2 — Plan My Safari 3.0
Public briefing edition. Internal progress, evidence and decision controls remain in Director OS.
Objective
What this workstream must achieve.
Make Plan My Safari the digital front door into ATOS Reservations rather than a disconnected website form.
Why it matters
The business reason behind the change.
The Point Zone review exposed the importance of a complete Website → Reservations bridge. The new experience should help the guest build a journey visually while preserving every answer for the Reservations team.
What the August reviews agreed
Open Plan My Safari as a premium large-screen overlay while keeping the standalone route available.
Use a seven-step flow: Where, When, Who, What, How, Review, Contact.
Start with an intelligent East Africa map showing ATZ coverage and progressively draw the selected route.
Capture flight-assistance requests and send them into the Reservations/Itinerary workflow.
Generate one persistent ATZ reference and send it immediately by email after successful persistence.
Use email + reference to begin Client Portal verification, followed by a secure one-time code/magic-link step.
Planned deliverables
Map-first Plan My Safari modal
Seven-step journey planner
Canonical Reservations enquiry bridge
Submission reference email
Journey summary and route map
Client Portal verification hand-off
Booking Flow Monitor evidence
Essence / Market Readiness
How this contributes to October.
A working Plan My Safari journey is a live proof point for agents: ATZ can capture a traveller request, preserve it operationally and turn it into a managed itinerary without manual re-entry.
Director confirmation required
Resolve and approve the child/infant age boundary before fee logic is coded.
Confirm the exact wording and operating model for international flight assistance.
Confirm the Client Portal verification method and customer-facing response SLA.
Shared Mission
This strategy is one part of the wider Director Alignment, Conversion & Market Readiness programme.
The six public strategy pages explain the approved direction. Director OS remains the governed source for progress, blockers, evidence, assigned owners and formal decisions.
