Our roots connect Gibbs Farm, Ndutu Safari Lodge and the northern circuit. Today, that experience shapes the safaris we create for you.
Our origins
Amazing Tanzania is one of the pioneering safari operators in Tanzania, established in 1988 under the name “Gibbs Farm Safaris”. Originally operating as a sister company to Gibbs Farm and Ndutu Safari Lodge as a tour operator linking the two properties and its own mobile camping facility, we began by putting together the perfect safari to the northern circuit. In 2003 the company expanded into a fully-fledged tour operator under the new brand “Amazing Tanzania”. Today it’s a respected independent Tanzanian tour operator specializing in tailor made safaris to Tanzania.
Mobile Camp Development
Our mobile camp programme evolved from basic fly camps to luxury exclusive-use camps positioned seasonally in prime wildlife areas. Each camp is staffed by our own team — not subcontracted.
Team Development
Many of our guides, camp managers and drivers have been with us for over a decade. We invest in training, certification and long-term career development — our team is our greatest asset.
Long-Term Client Relationships
Some of our clients have travelled with us five, six, even ten times — bringing children, then grandchildren. These relationships are the truest measure of our success.
