Responsible Travel

We support conservation through park fees (a portion of every safari goes directly to TANAPA, NCAA and other authorities), through partnerships with anti-poaching programmes, and through a commitment to operating in ways that minimise environmental impact.

Over 95% of our team is Tanzanian. We invest in training, certification and long-term career development. Every guide, driver, camp manager and cook is a local professional — not imported labour.

We maintain direct partnerships with Maasai, Hadzabe and Datoga communities. Visit contributions go directly to community development projects — schools, water access, and women's cooperatives.

Our mobile camps use solar power, water-efficient systems, waste separation and responsible disposal. We leave no trace — every camp site is restored to its natural state when we move.

We minimise single-use plastics, use refillable water containers in vehicles and camps, and ensure all waste is properly managed and disposed of at approved facilities.

We follow strict wildlife viewing protocols — maintaining distance, never crowding, limiting vehicle numbers at sightings, and respecting animal behaviour. We never bait, call or pressure wildlife.

We brief every guest on cultural etiquette before community visits. Photography requires consent. We dress modestly in communities. We approach cultural experiences as guests, not spectators.

We provide photography guidelines that prioritise animal welfare and human dignity. No drone harassment of wildlife. No photographing people without consent. No geotagging of sensitive locations.

Every guest receives a responsible travel briefing before their safari. This covers wildlife viewing distance, cultural etiquette, environmental practices and community visit protocols.

We review our practices annually. We seek feedback from guests, communities and staff. We invest in new technologies and approaches that reduce our footprint and increase our positive impact.
